What is GDPR?

The GDPR regulates the processing of personal data belonging to EU citizens, and is designed to strengthen and unify data protection for everyone within the European Union. Companies processing and holding the personal data of citizens residing in the European Union, regardless of the company’s location, are required to comply by this regulation.

Your privacy is and has always been important to us.

  • We’ve updated our Privacy Policy
  • We’ve documented our data processing activities as well as those of any external services we use
  • We’ve set up new processes to handle data deletion requests and access requests

What personal data we collect and why

NES does not collect your personal data, unless you comment, subscribe to our newsletter or register to our website to buy from the online shop.
We may use your personal data to provide and improve our website and services; to process transactions you request; to inform you about our products and services and those of our promotional partners; and to bring you customized content (such as newsletters) based on your activity in connection with the service. We believe that you'll anyway return to us if you like our product and concept, no need to push you.

Users may access, remove, review, and/or make changes to their Personal Data by following the instructions found on the website. In addition, you may manage your receipt of marketing and non-transactional communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link located on the bottom of any NES e-mail. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to process such requests in a timely manner. You should be aware, however, that it is not always possible to completely remove or modify information in our subscription databases. Users cannot opt out of receiving transactional e-mails related to their account with NES.

The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Who we share your data with

We don't share your data at all.

How long we retain your data

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Your contact information

We only use your contact information to send you our periodical newsletter, if you opt for.

Additional information

How we protect your data

Only those employees at NES who need access to the personal data to perform their work tasks are processing the personal data. All those employees have entered into confidentiality agreements.

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal data from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Please understand, however, that no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our databases, nor can we guarantee that the personal data that you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to and from us over the internet. In particular, e-mail sent to or from the website may not be secure, and you should therefore take special care in deciding what information you send to us via e-mail.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

We do not use automated decision making, nor profiling with user data.
